Churchill’s Home and Hever Castle Tour
Your chauffeur will drive you into the Garden of England and cruise over the north downs to Chartwell, the former home of Sir Winston Churchill, Britain’s great wartime leader. Nearby is medieval Hever Castle, the childhood home of Queen Anne Boleyn.
Your chauffeur will whisk you from central London into the Kent countryside.
Through the several pretty villages and rolling hills to Chartwell, the country home of Sir Winston Churchill. Britain’s legendary wartime leader, writer, war hero and wit. The entrance is next to the car park and you will have a timed ticket for entering the house to see where Churchill wrote and lived with his beloved wife, Clementine. Tour guides are stationed in the house rooms to answer any questions. The gardens and grounds can be explored at leisure.
Chartwell has a great café, or we can arrange a pub lunch nearby, this is entirely up to you.
Queen Ann Boleyn’s old home is a short drive from Chartwell. Your chauffeur will give you an overview of what you can see and do. Hever Castle has award-winning gardens to wander through. The castle’s interior and grounds were restored in the early 20th century by none other than William Waldorf Astor, the richest man in the world at the time. Exhibits include the story of the Astors, Tudor history in general and, of course, the life and times of Queen Anne Boleyn. Your drive back to central London is usually around 1 hr 45 minutes.
