Brighton, Arundel Castle and the Sussex Downs
DescriptionThis tour is approximately 10 hours
Your personal chauffeur will meet you in the lobby of your hotel at 8:00 am. This is a good time to discuss the day’s itinerary and make any changes if you need to.
This tour takes you through the green hills of the Sussex Downs dotted with quaint little villages all with their own character.
The Victorian town of Brighton is one the favourite seaside resorts in southern England. Take time out to stroll along the pier where there are amusement arcades and fun fair rides. Why not tour the Royal Pavilion, probably the most exotic royal residence in Europe, dating back to 1787. While in Brighton take a walk through ‘The Lanes’, a collection of narrow pedestrian streets filled with small independent shops selling antiques, jewellery and clothes as well as old fashioned sweet and fudge shops.
Before returning to London, tour the restored and remodelled, Arundel Castle with its fine state rooms and art collection. There are nearly 1000 years of history here. Built as a small castle in 1068 Arundel has grown substantially over the years. The castle was badly damaged during the English Civil War and was restored in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Now it’s time to sit back and relax while your chauffeur drives you back to your hotel.
