Leeds Castle and Canterbury Cathedral Tour

Discover the very beginning of England’s Christian heritage at Canterbury and explore one of the most picturesque medieval castles in England with maze and magnificent grounds.

Your chauffeur will drive through south-east London and onto the Canterbury freeway.

Canterbury is England’s most important place for Christian worship, where St. Augustine was given land to build a monastery in the late 6th century. Today’s great Cathedral is a Gothic masterpiece and a highlight of a visit to the city.

Your chauffeur can get you down to the cathedral entrance, where you can meet your booked guide or take a media guide. The Cathedral is 525 ft in length and 236 ft high. It is the location of the martyrdom of St. Thomas Becket, which turned the city into a major pilgrimage place to visit the saint’s shrine.

After you tour the mother church of England, stroll along the river Stour or visit St. Martins, the oldest church in the country or shop. 40 minutes drive away is a fairy tale, Leeds Castle.

Leeds is known as the Queen’s Castle, six to be precise and finally, the American heiress, Lady Bailey, who restored the building in the early 20th century. Your chauffeur will park up and escort you to the entrance. Stroll through the grounds and admire the moat and duckery. The interiors have carefully recreated medieval Royal suites and 20th-century glamour. Young people will love the fabulous yew tree maze.

The return journey to London is between 1 hr 30-45 minutes.
